A steel rod of the type having a generally rounded core and two or more spaced series of parallel ribs projecting therefrom, so constructed that the ribs act as threads to attach the rod to an anchoring or connecting device which has matching internal threads, is provided which in addition to the rib structure has a longitudinal groove in at least one of the regions between the adjacent ends of two of the series of ribs. The longitudinal groove or grooves provides a canal which permits the cavities between the rod and an enveloping anchoring or connecting means to be filled with cement or similar material which will protect the internal surfaces against corrosion.

This invention relates to reinforcing elements for reinforcing reinforced concrete building structures.
A steel rod for reinforcing concrete is known, containing continuous longitudinal protrusions with crescent crests 1 on the surface of a helix.
Also known is a steel rod for reinforcing concrete, having a ribbed surface, pre-strengthened by cold deformation, with the edges inclined to the axis of the rod and the transition between the edges and the surface of the rod is made in the form of an evolvent 2.
The disadvantage of these steel rods is insufficient adhesion to concrete.
Closest to the invention is a steel rod for reinforcing concrete, containing ribs on the surface, arranged along helical lines 3.
The disadvantage of this steel rod is the lack of possibility of filling concrete with hollow spaces in the anchor and connecting elements that slide onto the rod, which causes corrosion of the rod in the zone of these elements.
The aim of the invention is to protect the steel rod from corrosion.
CONCRETE
For this purpose, longitudinal grooves are formed on the surface of the rod between the ribs in a steel rod for reinforcing concrete, which contains ribs on the surface, arranged along helical lines. In addition, the end surfaces of the ribs are flat. The ends of the edges are rounded with 1, which are coupled with longitudinal grooves. The longitudinal grooves in the cross section are rounded.

Steel rod 1 contains on the surface of the ribs 2, the end surface 3 of which is made flat. On the surface of the rod 1 between the ribs, longitudinal grooves 4 are formed, which are rounded in cross section. The ends of the ribs 2 can be made with roundings 5, which are conjugated with kan25 4.
In the manufacture of reinforced concrete structures, cement mortar from concrete passes through the grooves 4 along the entire length of the rod 1, including in the installation zone of anchor and connecting elements and thereby protects the surface of the rod from corrosion.

Claims (4)

1. A steel rod for the reinforcement of concrete, which contains fins on the surface, is located, but is screwed, lines that differ from one another and with the fact that, in order to anti-corrosion protection, radial grooves are formed between the ribs on the surface of the rod.

2. A steel rod according to claim 1, characterized in that the end surfaces of the ribs are made flat.

3. The steel rod of claim 1, characterized in that the ends of the ribs are made with roundings which are coupled with longitudinal grooves.

4. Steel rod on PP. 1-3, characterized in that the longitudinal grooves in the cross section are rounded.
